Hello I'm Lynne and welcome to my website. I am a fully qualified counsellor and child therapist near Exeter and Taunton. I am a registered member of the BACP (British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy) and abide by their ethical framework. I am committed to providing counselling in a safe, confidential and non-judgemental environment. I have my own private practice in Tiverton. I have completed further specialist training in counselling children and young people and bereavement support. I am available in the day time, some early evenings and some Saturdays. I thank you for making the time to visit my website and please feel free to explore more below.

Does life feel like it's getting on top of you right now? Anxious, lost, confused or overwhelmed?
Experiencing lack of confidence, low self-esteem and worrying about what other people think?
Having relationship issues? Could you benefit from a place to take some time-out?
......To explore your thoughts and feelings without fear of judgement?...To begin to find some understanding, clarity and a way forward?

How can I help you?

I believe that we all have the capacity to be content, fulfilled and reach our full potential. However, sometimes the challenges life presents us with can lead to dissatisfaction and unhappiness. My aim is to help you improve how you manage those ups and downs to bring about some lasting change.

I am fully trained to work with adults, children and young people on an open-ended basis or for an agreed time period, with the aim of enabling you to enhance your life and to live it more fully.

I am experienced in helping clients who have experienced difficulties with :

The decision to make contact with a counsellor or therapist can feel daunting, but it is usually a step forward and therefore a positive one. It can be really beneficial and can often feel safer talking to somebody who is not involved in your day to day life.

My counselling practice is based in the centre of Tiverton, a market town in Mid Devon, conveniently situated between Exeter and Taunton and within easy reach of Cullompton, Wellington, Uffculme, Bampton, Barnstaple, South Molton and other surrounding villages.

I am a registered member of the BACP (The British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy) and am bound by their strict code of ethics, which ensure the highest standards of practice and confidentiality. I attend regular clinical supervision to ensure my work remains fresh and ethical and I am committed to my continuing professional development as a counsellor keeping my work energised and up to date.

"The more we know ourselves, the better lives we can lead. And when we get into trouble very often what happens is: there are parts of ourselves we don't know very well". Irvine Yalom.
